Andrew appointed as Composer in Residence for Five Lakes Silver Band

Andrew has been appointed as a Composer in Residence to the Five Lakes Silver Band. The band, who are based in Michigan, USA, were the National Champion Band of North America in 2023 and have won the US Open and Dublin Festival of Brass on numerous occasions. Andrew joins fellow Brit Paul Lovatt-Cooper as a Composer in Residence for the band.

Commenting on the appointment, Five LakesSilver Band's Musical Director Christopher Ward said:

"Andrew is an enormously talented composer who has certainly developed his own voice as a writer. We've had a great relationship over the years and felt like this was the next step. The band has already commissioned a few pieces, including Metamorphosis on Finlandia, which is featured on our latest recording. Enduring Faith is another commission that the band premiered in December and will be recorded on our new album this spring. With more exciting ideas in the pipeline, the future is bright, and we are looking forward to a tremendous partnership together."
